The North West Sutherland Community Alliance was established as a coordinating organisation to administer and distribute funding generated from renewable energy developments, particularly the Sallachy Wind Farm. The alliance works across communities including Scourie, Kinlochbervie and Durness to support collaborative initiatives designed to deliver transformational outcomes. These include projects related to employment, housing, connectivity, green skills development and wellbeing services, while supporting long-term sustainability and Scotland’s transition towards net zero.
